Please use this post to give feedback about runs. What you feel was needed, what you felt worked well/not well. Let's give ideas together for future success! Be nice, please!

Im speaking as a lotting member. Since this is not a funded LS and we can not lot currency we do not have a point system. I think the idea is great for city runs. When it comes to the northern lands, most of us by then will have sunk alot of gil and time into the LS. It doesn't seem right if I sunk 500k into the LS and get out lotted by a 2nd comer. I've talked to few people from the LS and we have an idea. All city runs will keep the current rules, but the Northern runs should have some kind of point system to protect our long term and dedicated members. I think this will secure the LS and make it the almost perfect Dynamis LS. If we do not protect our dedicated members I feel it may fall apart. Like I said, I speak for myself as a lotting member. If anyone has any other ideas about this, please let us know. Good idea or bad idea?

I like it, actually.
The point of not using APs is that it discourages new members the further in you go. APs, imo, are useless anyway, as people that come more will get more by virtue of the laws of probability anyway.
I'd entertain the idea of a lotting system for northlands tho. Perhaps we will set a requirement that if you haven't done all the preceding runs that led to that run you won't be able to lot.
ie. If the run schedule was beauc > bastok > windy > jeuno > xarc, then if you have attended bastok, windy, and jeuno than you are permitted to cast lots on that weeks xarc. We would have to make concessions to the people whos' work schedules don't permit them to come on thursdays, though.
Just an idea...

I can certainly see where you are coming from, the ICELAND ZONES contain the most valued armor. Especially from personally being screwed out of armor several times from linkshells i won't mention lol. However, the question remains is "WHAT IS FAIR?" Someone being their second run getting lot items like RDM hat, or THF gloves in xarcabard over someone who has been a dedicated member for months i think would definitely not be fair. Especially considering how long it will be before get there. We've got alot of members that need Wins in each city, and then Beaucedine. Keeping attendance points is the way most shells, do it, but it makes it hard for any new members to ever get armor. I think sahzi is on the right track, with members having to attend a series of runs before being able to lot in the iceland zones. Now i do not have a problem with a new person lotting an item in the ICELAND ZONES, if no one else needs it. But for instance, let's' say someone misses a single run, should they be penalized for that? I don't think that's really fair either, sometimes real life comes up and there's not much that can be done about it. But where to draw the line? Honestly i'm not sure, but by the time we get to those zones, i'm sure we can come up with a solution that would be fair to everyone. I don't want to see anyone get screwed for sure.

If someone misses a Thursday run due to work and they've already stated that, they shouldn't get penalized. If someone misses one run that week, maybe they would go to 2nd lot? I think as time goes by, it will be easier to determine who should get what, but we need to think about what we need to apply so people will know. We need feedback and maybe we can put something together that makes everyone happy. There is a way, we just have to find it.
I want to make this LS the guideline to all great LSs so people can feel secure and the LS will be known by all.

just a note: we are working towards fully sponsored runs, so dynamis will be free for all members shortly....we just need to get full membership ranks so we can reliably clear areas and the relic team will step up and foot the bill.
more on this as it develops.

Since we seem to have so many people who show up to one run and then disappear, maybe we should have a "trial" period for new members. Let's say.. 1 week/2 runs or even 2 weeks/4 runs.
During the trial period, they are not allowed to lot any AF. They would have to show up to all trial period runs. If they can only make it one day per week, they'd have to show up for all committed trial period runs. (2 or 4 in the above example.)
Since we're still a fairly new linkshell, maybe this wouldn't be applicable right now, but down the line we would need to apply a rule like this.
Also, maybe another rule stating if you miss 2 runs (or 3,4 or 5, or whatever seems fair) without any prior notification to the linkshell leaders, you would not be allowed to lot for a certain amount of runs. Just something to keep people from randomly coming and going whenever they please.
